Stamping hammers are used to strike seals and steel tools when a strong impact is needed. The brass end will not damage the stamp, while the steel end will strike with more force when needed.
The steel rod goes through the rosewood handle and the hammer gives a very solid feel. The handle can be easily tightened with a hex wrench or Allen wrench. This is also the ideal hammer for removing Fretz stakes from various Fretz stands.
